Ex-Tricolor Worker Brings Class Suit Over Pre-Bankruptcy Layoffs

A former Tricolor Holdings LLC employee filed a proposed class action alleging he and his fellow workers were improperly laid off without adequate warning shortly before the company’s bankruptcy.

Jose Campos aims to represent himself and about 150 other terminated employees at a Bakersfield, Calif. facility, arguing the Texas sub prime car lender violated the California Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, according to a complaintfiled on Sept. 19 in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
