Evander Kane to Stay in Chapter 7 Bankruptcy After Court Ruling

NHL player Evander Kane will remain in Chapter 7 after a bankruptcy judge denied a creditor request to convert the case to a Chapter 11 reorganization.

“I cannot find that denying Debtor the fresh start he sought by filing Chapter 7 is in the best interests of Creditors and Debtor,” Judge Stephen L. Johnson of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California ruled Monday.
