Estée Lauder’s Ronald Lauder Retires From Board, Taps Son-In-Law

Estée Lauder board member Ronald Lauder, who has been with the company for more than 50 years, retires from the position and is succeeded by his son-in-law Eric Zinterhofer, effective immediately.

  • Lauder’s daughter Jane Lauder will continue to serve on the board in her current position
  • Eric Zinterhofer, who is married to Lauder’s daughter Aerin Lauder, will be his second designee
    • Zinterhofer co-founded Searchlight Capital Partners and was a senior partner at Apollo Management in New York
  • Lauder will remain Chair of Clinique Laboratories
