EquipmentShare Asks Judge to Reject Ousted Board Member’s Return

Construction equipment renter EquipmentShare.com urged a judge to reject an effort by an ousted board member to return to the company, arguing his tenure was tainted by misconduct.

The allegations are the latest twist in an ongoing court battle between the company and Neil Chheda, co-founder of venture capital firm Romulus Capital Partners, who has been removed from EquipmentShare’s board twice.

The court filing from EquipmentShare points to several lawsuits against Cheddha that have alleged “fraud, self-dealing, forgery, and breaches of fiduciary duty,” and says that Cheddha is now using the courts to try to “advance a self-interested vendetta.” ...
