Enviva Skips Interest Payment on 6.5% Notes, Enters Grace Period

Enviva Inc. skipped a roughly $24.4 million interest payment due on its 6.5% senior notes, electing to enter a 30-day grace period, according to a regulatory filing.

  • The company elected to “enhance its short-term financial flexibility” by entering the grace period while it continues negotiations on its capital structure and liquidity, according to the filing
  • The wood pellet producer also said it has sufficient cash on hand to make the interest payment on the notes due 2026
