Engie Said to Tap Morgan Stanley for Stake Sale in Brazil (1)

Engie SA’s Brazil subsidiary is exploring the sale of a minority stake in its power-line business, according to people familiar with the matter.

Engie Brasil Energia SA hired Morgan Stanley to advise on a possible transaction, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information isn’t public. The conversations are in an early stage and there’s no guarantee a deal will be reached, they said.

Representatives for Engie Brasil and Morgan Stanley declined to comment.
