Eiger Biopharmaceuticals Inc. won court approval Thursday of its restructuring plan after late-night negotiations on the eve of a key hearing cleared multiple objections to the plan.
Judge Stacey G.C. Jernigan of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas cleared the final hurdle for approval of Eiger’s plan when she overrode a final objection from the Justice Department’s bankruptcy watchdog.
Jernigan in an oral ruling said she would confirm Eiger’s bankruptcy plan and issue a written order after Eiger files formal paperwork.
