Ecuador Bonds Jump on Plans for Debt-for-Nature Swap in 2026

Ecuador dollar bonds jumped after Finance Minister Sariha Moya said the country’s planning a new debt-for-nature swap for 2026.

  • Sovereign notes advanced over 1 cent on the dollar across the curve to become one of the best performers in emerging markets
  • Bonds due in 2035 gained 1.5 cents to 76.2 cents, the highest in three weeks, according to indicative pricing data compiled by Bloomberg
