Ecuador Bonds Fall as Congress Bloc Calls for Debt Renegotiation

Ecuador bonds are among the biggest losers on emerging markets on Wednesday following a statement by a coalition of lawmakers calling for the nation to renegotiate external debt.

  • Notes due in 2030 slid 1.4 cent to 44.9 cents on the dollar, the lowest since March, according to indicative pricing data collected by Bloomberg
    • Bonds due in 2035 fell 1 cent to 34.3 cents on the dollar, a one-month low
