Dr. Phil Company Hit With Call for Sanctions in Media Unit Case

Merit Street Media Inc. creditors moved to slap Dr. Phil McGraw’s production company with contempt and sanctions for allegedly failing to produce personal emails and text messages sent by the daytime television personality and his sons.

McGraw’s Peteski Productions Inc., a lender and equity holder to the bankrupt media venture, deliberately failed to comply with court orders to produce critical discovery documents, Professional Bull Riders LLC and Trinity Broadcasting of Texas Inc. said in court papers filed Tuesday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
