DOJ Unit Accuses AgileThought Bankruptcy Firm of ‘Jumping Ship’

Grant & Eisenhofer PA should be blocked from helping private capital firm Blue Torch advance potential claims against KPMG LLP stemming from the bankruptcy of tech advising firm AgileThought Inc., a Justice Department watchdog said.

The law firm was hired by special-purpose acquisition vehicle AgileThought in Chapter 11 to pursue potential litigation against former executives and other vendors, including KPMG, to boost creditor recoveries. But Grant & Eisenhofer concluded that AgileThought senior lender Blue Torch has a better shot at successfully suing KPMG than the estate, according to filings with the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
