DISTRESSED DAILY: Supply-Chain Disruption for Retailers Worsens

Retailers already trying to find ways to bring in customers will find it’s harder and costlier to get the goods they need.

Merchants and consumer-goods makers “are dealing with challenges not seen for a generation,” consulting firm Berkeley Research Group wrote in a recent report. “More than 18 months into the pandemic, the disruption to global supply chains is getting worse, spurring shortages of consumer products and making it more expensive for companies to ship goods where they’re needed.”
