DISTRESSED DAILY: Diaper Maker Attindas Hit With Rising Costs

Journey Personal Care Holdings is seeing its profit shrink as its costs rise, a trend that’s likely to continue through next year.

The company, which operates as Attindas Hygiene Partners and sells diapers under brands including Comfees and Attends, has been hit by higher raw materials costs. Around 70% of the company’s cost of goods sold is made up of raw materials including fluff pulp and polymers. Higher freight costs have also added to earnings pressure, S&P Global Ratings analysts Archana Rao and Aniki Saha-Yannopoulos wrote in a note last week.
