Dish Network President, CEO Carlson to Resign Effective Nov. 12

Dish said W. Erik Carlson intends to resign as President and Chief Executive Officer effective Nov. 12, and will remain on the board of directors through the closing of the previously announced merger with EchoStar.

• Dish to work with EchoStar to appoint Hamid Akhavan, the current CEO and President of EchoStar, to the additional post of President and CEO of Dish
