Dewan Housing Administrator Files Plea Over Loan Irregularities

Dewan Housing Finance Corp.’s transaction auditor Grant Thornton has indicated that there are certain transactions which are undervalued, fraudulent and preferential in nature, the company says in a stock exchange filing.

  • DHFL’s administrator filed an application before NCLT, Mumbai against 26 people including the company’s founder Kapil Wadhawan, according to the filing
  • The preliminary estimation included in the application places the monetary impact of the transactions at about 55.6 billion rupees
  • The latest application is the seventh filing based on the report of the transaction auditor
