Dean Foods Co., the former top milk processor in the U.S., will liquidate after getting court approval of its Chapter 11 plan.
The company’s bankruptcy, which included $617 million in asset sales, “saved a lot of jobs and kept important parts of America’s infrastructure in place,” Judge David R. Jones of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas said Wednesday at a virtual hearing.
Dean Foods processes milk products under brands such as Dean’s, T.G Lee, DairyPure, TruMoo, Friendly’s, Meadow Gold, and Rachel’s Organic, according to the company.
