Credito Real confirmed in a statement Tuesday it was declared in bankruptcy protection in Mexico.

• The reconciliation stage was declared open, the company said
• “The procedural and conservatory measures of the bankruptcy procedure are dictated, in the terms of the provisions of the commercial bankruptcy law”
