Covid-Hit Old Country Buffet Goes Bankrupt for Fourth Time

All-you-can-eat chain Old Country Buffet is back in bankruptcy for the fourth time after the Covid-19 pandemic slammed in-person dining.

The buffet chain filed for Chapter 11 protection from creditors in Texas alongside affiliates including Furr’s Fresh Buffet, HomeTown Buffet and Tahoe Joe’s Famous Steakhouse. Old Country Buffet and related brands previously went through bankruptcies in 2008, 2012 and 2016, court documents show.
