Court Rejects Ex-EquipmentShare Director’s Bid to Reclaim Seat

A Texas court shot down a bid by an early investor in EquipmentShare.com Inc. to reclaim his seat on the board of directors before the construction-equipment rental company’s planned initial public offering.

The court rejected Neil Chheda’s request for a temporary injunction to reinstate him on the company’s board, according to an order signed Thursday. Chheda has been locked in a year-long legal battle with EquipmentShare over his ouster, which he claims was invalid.

A company spokesperson said the ruling is an important step in “dismantling Mr. Chheda’s baseless litigation campaign.”
