ICO Global Communications Ltd. announced March 15 that it entered into an agreement giving DISH Network Corporation the option to purchase the assets of its subsidiary DBSD North America Inc. The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York approved the sale March 15 (In re DBSD North America Inc.).
Judge Robert E. Gerber approved the investment agreement pursuant to Bankruptcy Code Sections 105(a) and 363(b) stating that “it appear[s] that the relief requested is in the best interests of the Debtors’ estates, their creditors, and other parties in interest.”
