Compass Inc. rose nearly 4% in Thursday post-market trading after the company forecast first-quarter revenue that topped analyst estimates and announced a new partnership with Rocket Companies Inc. that would expand its visibility among potential home buyers on property listings platform Redfin.
The real estate brokerage company expects first-quarter revenue of $2.55 billion to $2.75 billion, beating the average consensus estimate of $2.5 billion. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, however, is expected to come in between $15 million and $35 million, far short of analyst expectations for $44 million.
