CommScope Junk Bonds Extend Losses After Earnings Disappoint

CommScope’s high-yield debt extended losses in secondary trading Tuesday on the heels of an earnings report that missed expectations.

  • The communications technology firm’s 6% note maturing in 2025 slipped 3 cents on the dollar to 69.5 cents, according to Trace
    • Its 8.25% bond due 2027 dropped 2.75 cents to 50 cents on the dollar, as of 10:30 a.m. New York Time
    • The company’s 7.125% note maturing in 2028 fell 1.75 cents to 41.5 cents
  • The losses come after the company had reported third-quarter profit and sales numbers Monday that fell short of average analyst expectations
