Clearlake Discusses Combining Units of RSA, Quest Into New Firm

Clearlake Capital Group has been holding conversations about combining parts of RSA Security and Quest Software Inc., two companies it owns, into a new business, and selling a stake in that entity, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

The buyout firm has been discussing combining SecurID, an encryption authentication technology firm owned by RSA, and One Identity,a cybersecurity platform that’s part of Quest Software, into a new company, said the people who declined to be identified as the details are private.
