Citgo Lake Charles to Start Multiunit Turnaround Late February

Citgo Petroleum Corp.’s Lake Charles refinery in southwest Louisiana will begin a multiunit turnaround beginning in late February, people familiar with operations said.

• The maintenance will continue until the fourth week in April
  • The work will be staggered, with units shutting and restarting at different times
• The 50k b/d FCC-A, one of three fluid catalytic crackers of approximately equal size, will be down the longest — from late February through late April
• Other units included in the turnaround are two reformers, a naphtha hydrotreater and Crude Topper C, one of four crude distillation units
