Citgo Corpus Christi Shutting Sole Crude Unit, Hydrotreater

Citgo Petroleum’s Corpus Christi, Texas, refinery is shutting its sole crude unit Wednesday at the East Plant and will take a mixed distillate hydrotreater offline Thursday at its West Plant, both for maintenance, according to person familiar with operations.

  • The 168k b/d crude unit will be shut for about 12 days to clean its exchangers
  • Work on the 50k b/d hydrotreater is expected to last about 8 days
