Cineworld’s Assets Attract Potential Buyers in Bankruptcy

Cineworld Group Plc has received “a lot of interest” from potential buyers of the movie-theater company’s assets in its bankruptcy, said Josh Sussberg, the firm’s attorney, in court on Wednesday.

• Several parties have executed NDAs with Cineworld and have been “actively involved in the process since the January launch,” according to an in-court presentation
• NOTE: Deadline for potential buyers to express interest is Feb. 16, with a possible second phase for the firm to solicit binding bids
