Charter Carrier Jet Time Files for Bankruptcy, Ritzau Says

Danish charter carrier Jet Time has filed for bankruptcy amid coronavirus related restrictions on travel, local newswire Ritzau reported, citing a statement.

  • Copenhagen-based Jet Time started its operations in 2006 and flew primarily chartered planes for travel agencies and private companies
  • In June the company fired 313 people -- more than 90% of its staff -- Danish broadcasting cooperation DR reported
    • At the time, CEO Jorgen Holme warned of a $123 million drop in revenue throughout the summer
