Centralized Insolvency Operation Gets New Address

The Centralized Insolvency Operation has a new mailing address, the Internal Revenue Service said Nov. 30 in Announcement 2011-77.

The new address should be used for submitting requests for tax refunds under Section 505(a) of the Bankruptcy Code, as well as for requests for prompt determinations of any unpaid tax liability of estates incurred during bankruptcy cases under Section 505(b) of the Bankruptcy Code, IRS said.

The new address, effective immediately, is Centralized Insolvency Operation, P.O. Box 7346, Philadelphia, PA 19101-7346.

Announcement 2011-77 will be published in Internal Revenue Bulletin 2011-51, dated Dec. 19.
