South Park Creators’ Buy Complete, Casa Bonita Ends Bankruptcy

The former owner of famed Denver restaurant Casa Bonita won approval to wind down in bankruptcy following a $3.1 million sale of the business to the founders of the animated show South Park.

Judge Michael E. Romero of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado approved the Chapter 11 liquidation plan for Summit Family Restaurants Inc. via written order Monday after the company reported no pushback from creditors.

Under the plan, landlord BSV Lamont JCRS LLC received an immediate $900,000 payment. Secured creditors will be paid in full, according to court filings.
