BRC Group Posts Profit, Court Dismisses Suit Tied to Brian Kahn

BRC Group Holdings Inc. caught up on its last overdue filing, posted its first annual profit since 2021 and beat back a lawsuit that blamed the firm for not heading off losses tied to a bet on Franchise Group before it went bankrupt. The stock jumped more than 6% in extended trading Tuesday.

Net income swung to $299.4 million for 2025 from a $772.3 million loss a year earlier, the Los Angeles-based firm formerly known as B. Riley Financial said in a statement Tuesday. Revenue rose to $967.6 million from $746.4 million, with BRC citing mainly investment appreciation.
