Brazil Regulator Shelves Analysis on Azul, Gol Codeshare Deal

Brazil antitrust regulator Cade’s superintendence has discontinued the administrative procedure that analyzed the codeshare agreement between Azul and Gol, regulatory body says in statement.

  • As the contracts that make up the agreement have not yet been in effect for two years, there is currently no obligation to notify Cade of the operation, agency says in a technical note
    • Therefore, the operation does not currently constitute a “gun jumping” infraction or prior consummation of a concentration act
