Brazil Confirms Tax Debt Agreement With Airlines

Through the National Treasury Attorney General’s Office (PGFN), the Attorney General’s Office (AGU) signed agreements with airlines Gol and Azul to regularize tax debts worth 7.5b reais, AGU said in statement.

  • Agreement with Azul provides for the regularization of 2.5b reaus in debts with Brazil’s IRS
    • Company will pay 36m reais immediately
    • Will pay 1.1b reais in up to 120 installments
  • AGU also disclosed the terms of agreement with Gol to renegotiate 5b reais, already announced on Thursday
    • Court deposits already made in the amount of 49m reais will be converted into final payment
    • Gol will pay 880m reais ...
