The Boy Scouts of America must try harder to accelerate resolving nearly 85,000 sexual abuse claims considering the “staggering” $100 million in professional fees the organization has racked up in bankruptcy, a judge said.
The Boy Scouts is shelling out nearly $10 million a month in Chapter 11 case expenses, the organization’s attorney, Jessica Lauria of White & Case LLP, told the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware Wednesday.
