A Boy Scouts of America sex abuse claimant may have a cause of action against his lawyers for their lack of communication, the judge overseeing the organization’s sprawling bankruptcy settlement said.
Judge Laurie Selber Silverstein’s comments came after an abuse victim represented by AVA Law called into the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on Wednesday to express his frustration over Zoom. The claimant, identified by his initials to protect his anonymity, said he sent multiple letters to AVA Law but didn’t hear back from the firm.
