Borden Dairy Approved for Sale to Former Dean Foods Chief, KKR

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Sontchi on Friday approved the sale of substantially all of Borden Dairy Co.’s assets to a joint venture between Capitol Peak Partners and KKR & Co., per court papers.

• Capitol Peak Partners is an investment firm founded in 2017 by Gregg Engles, the long-time chief executive of dairy giant Dean Foods
• KKR’s credit arm is a current lender to Borden

• The case is Borden Dairy Co., 20-10010-CSS, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware
