Blackstone’s Kuppenheimer Heads to Apollo-Backed Diameter

The former CFO of Blackstone Inc.’s Private Credit Fund, Steve Kuppenheimer, has left the firm and is expected to take up a new role at Diameter Capital Partners.

After more than seven years at Blackstone, Kuppenheimer parted ways on Sept. 9 “to pursue other opportunities,” a regulatory filing shows. He is headed next to New York-based credit manager Diameter, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Meanwhile, Blackstone Credit’s head of finance, Kevin Kresge, has stepped into the role of interim CFO at the Private Credit Fund, the filing states.
