Italian Billionaire-Backed Firm Buys Crystal Cruises Ships (2)

A&K Travel Group, the firm backed by Italian billionaire Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, bought two ships in a sale resulting from the collapse of Crystal Cruises.

The US-based travel company acquired the vessels and the Crystal Cruises brand, it said on Wednesday in an emailed statement. A&K will refurbish the Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony ships and resume service next year. A&K didn’t disclose the price of the acquisition.
