A group of people who say they got mesothelioma from exposure to asbestos-containing Georgia-Pacific LLC products requested a Chapter 11 trustee to oversee the bankruptcy of a subsidiary.
Bestwall LLC “has expressed zero interest” during its eight-and-a-half-year-old case in reaching a reorganization plan to provide recoveries to asbestos claimants, the group said in a Wednesday filing in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
The group alternatively soughts an examiner to investigate the conduct of Bestwall to determine cause to appoint a trustee.
