Bertucci’s Restaurant Chain Goes Bankrupt for Second Time (1)

Bertucci’s Restaurants LLC, the owner and operator of the Italian fast-casual restaurant chain, filed for bankruptcy, citing operating losses stemming from inflation and the Covid-19 pandemic.

The restaurant chain filed for Chapter 11 relief in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida on Monday. Bertucci’s, which operates 47 locations in nine states along the East Coast, owes about $21 million to affiliate PHL Holdings LLC on an outstanding loan and more than $26 million to unsecured creditors, according to its filings.
