Bed Bath & Beyond Admin Sues States, US Customs to Recover Funds

A plan administrator for Bed Bath & Beyond Inc.'s bankruptcy estate filed several lawsuits seeking to claw back about $10 million from transfers made to state and federal agencies.

The suits, which aim to recover payments the fallen retailer made before it filed for bankruptcy, target “custom duties,” tax overpayments, damages and freight costs. The plan administrator filed the suits in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.
