The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan March 9 entered an order approving the settlement between U.S. Department of Justice’s United States Trustee Program (USTP) and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., to settle a case involving alleged robo-signing and other improper practices in bankruptcy cases (In re Belzaksettlement order approved).
The order, signed by Judge Daniel S. Opperman, becomes effective upon the running of any appeal period following its execution by the parties and its entry by the court.
