Bankrupt Telecom Company Tilson Hit with Layoff Class Action (1)

Tilson Technology Management Inc. was hit with an employee class action accusing the telecommunications infrastructure firm of failing to provide advance notice of layoffs as it prepared to file bankruptcy.

The Portland, Maine-based company violated the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act when it abruptly terminated more than 50 employees at facilities in Las Vegas and Chandler, Ariz. in early May without providing at least 60 days of advance notice, two former employees alleged in a suit filed Thursday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
