Bankrupt Genesis Healthcare Seeks Executive Bonuses as Staff Exit

Fallen nursing home operator Genesis Healthcare proposed compensation plans for its senior leadership team as it grapples with recent employee resignations and delays in closing the sale of its assets in bankruptcy.

Genesis sought court approval of a $1.4 million incentive plan for senior executives, a separate $1.6 million incentive program tied to 2025 employee performance, and a revised retention plan that would disburse $6.6 million to non-insider employees, according to a Feb. 28 filing in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
