The former chief capital officer of Cred Inc., a bankrupt cryptocurrency services provider, immediately must return large amounts of bitcoin that he allegedly pilfered before being fired, a judge ordered.
Judge John T. Dorsey of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware ordered James Alexander to transfer all of Cred’s bitcoin in his possession back to the company within half an hour of the end of Friday’s virtual hearing.
Alexander also was ordered to initiate by day-end a wire transfer to Cred of at least $2.7 million in proceeds from bitcoin he already sold.
