Bankrupt Amusement Park Owner Moves to Appeal Fatal Ride Judgment

A bankrupt Colorado-based amusement park operator is looking to move forward with an appeal of a more than $116 million state court judgment tied to a fatal incident at its park in 2021.

Glenwood Caverns Holdings is “taking the necessary steps” to appeal the judgment from Colorado’s Garfield County District Court, but it needs court approval to lift the automatic litigation stay prompted by its bankruptcy, it said in a Monday motion filed in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
