Bahamian Liquidators Seek to Force Access to FTX’s Emails, Chats

Liquidators appointed by a Bahamian court to take over FTX Digital Markets’ affairs are asking a US bankruptcy court to force the company to give them access to its electronic records.

FTX’s US management team “abruptly cut off” access to the records around Nov. 12, and have refused to reopen it, the liquidators told the Delaware bankruptcy in a Dec. 9 emergency motion.

The request highlights a simmering international turf war over the collapsed cryptocurrency business, which filed for bankruptcy last month.
