A bankruptcy judge is set to approve Avon Products Inc.’s Chapter 11 plan, largely overruling objections from the beauty brand’s insurers.
Judge Craig T. Goldblatt of the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware concluded that the proposed plan can be confirmed contingent on “modest” revisions without requiring re-solicitation of votes from creditors, he wrote in an opinion Thursday.
The company filed the plan earlier this year to create a trust to administer its assets and claims. The Natura & Co.-owned Avon, which sold its US operations in 2016, sought bankruptcy protection last year to address personal injury claims ...
