DynaVox Inc. along with two affiliated entities filed for Chapter 11 protection April 7 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware (In re Dynavox Inc., Bankr. D. Del., No. 14-10791).
The debtors are located in Pittsburgh, Pa. According to court documents, the debtors were founded in 1983 in order to develop technology for use by individuals with severe speech impairments. The debtors also provide software for use by therapists and special educators in their work with students with language and communication deficits.
