Arizona Water Utilities Seek Legal Fees From Bankrupt Nikola

Two Arizona public utilities said bankrupt electric-vehicle maker Nikola Corp. owes them tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees they incurred due a dispute over a water-services contract.

Nikola owes $75,000 in attorneys fees to two Global Water Resources Inc. subsidiaries, the public service corporations told the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on Thursday.

Global Water, a public company, filed several objections in Nikola’s bankruptcy to protect its interests related to nearly $431,000 it said it was owed as part of a 2020 deal to provide services to the company’s Coolidge, Ariz., property, according to Global ...
