Argentina Gathers Partners to Finance $2.5B Oil Export Pipeline

State-run YPF SA and three other Argentine shale oil drillers will take up around half of the Vaca Muerta Sur pipeline’s capacity of ~550,000 barrels a day, according to people familiar with the plans who declined to be named discussing private deliberations.

  • YPF is spearheading the project. The other three drillers would be Vista Energy, Pampa Energia and Pan American Energy Group, which is 50% BP
    • Vista and Pampa said on recent earnings calls they are participating
    • Pan American didn’t reply to a request for comment
    • A spokesperson for YPF declined to comment on equity partners and financing
